Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, April 27, 1977

IONIA- Ella Lenore Font, 83, of 229 King street died early Tuesday at Ionia 
county Memorial hospital after being a patient there one day.

She was born at Shiloh January 3, 1894, the daughter of Frank and Irene Drake 
Allen.

She married Fred Font on July 26, 1914. He preceded her in death in 1966.

They made their home in Ionia all their married life.

Mrs. Font was employed as an Avon representative for 25 years, a member of 
First Christian church and for 56 years a member of the Women of the Moose. She 
was also an active bowler for the past 30 years until her health forced her to 
quit two years ago. 

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Harold (Leitha) Clements of Ionia and nieces 
and nephews. 

Services are Thursday at 2 pm from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Charles 
Fullmer of First United Methodist church officiating.

Burial is in Clear Lake cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Wednesday 7 
to 9 pm.
