The Lyons Herald, Friday, February 28, 1907


Chas. R. Foote, father of Wm. M. Foote of this village, died at the home of 
his son Charles in Hart Tuesday, February 19, aged 82 years.  The remains were 
brought to Belding for burial, the funeral being held last Thursday.  The 
Belding Banner speaks of deceased in the following manner:

“Mr. Foote came to Otisco about 35 years ago and has resided on what has been 
known as the Foote farm east of the city and in the city since coming to 
Michigan.  He was an honored and respected citizen and a staunch 
republication, never missing an opportunity to vote at every election since 
the first republican ticket was nominated.”
