Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. April 23, & Wed. April 25,  1951


Mrs. Mary Parker Forback, 86, of 203 Railroad street, died at the University 
hospital, Ann Arbor, Saturday at 6 p.m. after being a patient there for eleven 
weeks.



She was born in Perry Oct. 14, 1864, the daughter of Joseph and Amelia 
Whitford. She had been a resident of Ionia for 53 years. She married Marty 
Parker Jan. 9, 1883, and he died in Ionia in 1920. She later married Henry 
Forback in  1928 and he died in  1930.



She was a member of the Royal Neighbors society.

Mrs. Forback leaves a son, Bethel, of Spring Lake; a daughter, Alberta Parker, 
of Detroit; a brother, Watt Whitford, of Minnesota; and a sister, Mrs. E.B. Fay 
of Minnesota.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Boynton funeral 
home. Dr. Howard Smith will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot, Oak 
Hill cemetery. 



WED. APRIL 25, 1951

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Parker Forback, 86, of 203 Railroad street, who 
died at the University hospital, Ann Arbor, Saturday, April 24, at 2 ;30 p.m. 
at the Boynton funeral home. 

Dr Howard A. Smith officiated.



Interment was in the family lot, Oak Hill cemetery.



Bearers were Frank Gazella, John Weatherwax, Roy Witzel and Vewrnon VanBuren.



Those attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Betherl Parker of Spring 
Lake, Miss Alberta Parker of Detroit and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Eddy, Mr. and Mrs. 
Frank Bliss and Mrs. Louise Bliss of Saranac.
