Foreman, age 89, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2005 in Ionia. She was born on January 17, 1916 in Ionia the daughter of Wilbur and Jessie (Wedge) Foreman. Genevieve graduated from Ionia High School in 1934, served during World War II in the Navy Waves and was a member of Ionia American Legion. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Tuxis Class and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years. She worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. for 20 years, Heartland Healthcare for 12 and a half years, was a foster grandmother at Rather and Boyce Elementary Schools for 20 years. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles and Robert Foreman. Surviving are her sister, Betty Culber of Ionia; nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. James Bennett, Pastor, First Baptist Church, Ionia at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
