Foreman, well known to Ionians as “Doc” Foreman, died on Sunday evening at 9 o’clock at his home north of Ionia. He was 62 years old. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. R.B. Chapman officiating. Interment in Highland Park. Deceased was born at Worthington, Pa., and came to Ionia with his parents when four years old. They settled on the old homestead in Ionia township, where he had since lived. Over a year ago at the first Ionia free fair, Mr. Foreman received internal injuries, when a race horse became unmanageable and went over the rope at the edge of the track, rolling over Mr. Foreman. He never fully recovered from these injuries and has been in poor health since. He had been ill three weeks when death came, his condition being very critical since last Wednesday. Besides the widow he leaves two brothers, Elder and Charles of Grand Rapids, and James of Grayling, and two sisters, one in Detroit and one in Nebraska. The late Mrs. Samantha A. Sage was also a sister. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/f/foreman8906gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/mifiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
