The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, September 9, 1977
Clara May Forest, 69, of 157 West Pleasant, Hubbardston, died at her home 
Thursday evening after a long illness.  She was born May 19, 1906 in 
Carrollton township, Saginaw county, the daughter of Albert and Lizzie 
Meacham.  She married William Forest in 1927 and he preceded her in death in 
April 1962.  They moved to the Carson City-Crystal area in 1942 from Lansing.  
Mrs. Forest was a member of Oaklawn Baptist church in Fenwick.

Survivors include two sons, Buddy of Hubbardston and Richard of Fenwick; four 
daughters, Mrs. Viola Fox of Crystal, Mrs. Emma Hopkins of Fenwick, Mrs. Mary 
Dalton o Hubbardston and Mrs. Zella Curtis of Lyons; one sister Mrs. Alice 
Dubois of Grand Rapids, 31 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.  

Services are Monday at 2 p.m. form the Hull memorial chapel in Muir.  Burial 
is in Bloomer Center cemetery in Montcalm County.
