Leah A. Forist, 72, of 740 Kenney N.W., Grand Rapids died Saturday at Kent
Community Hospital.  Born Oct. 6, 1912, in Nickleplate, she was the daughter of
Albert and Carrie Teed.  A former Sheridan resident, she had made her home in
Grand Rapids since 1963.

Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Ramo of Houston, Doris Jeffrey of
Sheridan and Edith Flowers of Greenville; three sons, Carl Briggs of Grand
Rapids, Max Briggs of Sheridan and James A Forist of Dallas, Tex.; 22
grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Edwards of
Belding and Lenney Pierson of Ionia; and two brothers, Harvey Teed of Sheridan
and Lawrence Teed of Belding.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the Stebbins & Simpson Funeral
Home, Sheridan, with the Rev. Blakely Grant officiating.  Burial will be in
Richland Cemetery, Vestaburg.
