Paul B. Forton, aged 82, of Ionia and former longtime resident of Howell, passed
away at his home on Wednesday, Feb.  10, 2010.  Born Jan.  5, 1928 in Howell, he
was the son of Albert J.  And Freida C.  (Wamboldt) Forton.  Paul had been
employed by the GM Proving Grounds as an administrative engineer and retired
following more than 35 years of service.  He was a former longtime active member
of Grace Lutheran Church in Howell and enjoyed traveling, reading, caring for
his lawn and building “things”.

Beloved husband of Barbara M.  (Thomas) whom he married in Howell on Jan.  31,
1948; loving father of Patricia Mills of Howell, James Forton of Howell, Paul
Forton of Clear Lake, Minn. and Dale (Nancy) Forton of Ionia; also survived by
six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m. at
McDonald’s Funeral Home-Howell (517-546-2800), Reverend Cliff Allen officiating.
 Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Howell.  Memorial contributions
are suggested to the Ionia Area Hospice.
