Retired Railman, J.W. Fosburg, Dies
     Jesse W. Fosburg, 72, of 1023 Ionia av., NW, retired signalman for 
Grand Trunk Western Railroad Co., and native of Hastings, died Monday in 
Butterworth hospital after a short illness. Mr. Fosburg had lived in Grand 
Rapids the last 16 years. He worked for the railroad 14 years, retiring two 
years ago. Surviving are his wife, Githa, four daughters, Mrs. Vesta Johnson 
of Ada, Mrs. Ena Carter of Vermontville, Mrs. Ethel Sitzer of Grand Rapids 
and Mrs. Blanche Remster of Flint; three sons, Leo of Flint and Floyd and 
Ora of Saranac; 25 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Services will 
be held at 2:30p.m. Thursday in the Morris Funeral home at Saranac. Burial 
will be in Saranac cemetery.
