Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, Oct. 14, 1897

Miss Della Foster, of Grand Rapids, well known to many Ionians, died at Ottawa 
Beach, while visiting at the cottage of Calvin Ives, on Sunday afternoon. 
Funeral at Grand Rapids from the residence of Dr. A.E. Luton, 53 Morris Ave., 
at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning. The remains were brought to Ionia at 11:17 
a.m.,  and the interment will be at Highland Park. Deceased was a sister of 
Mrs. T.R. Buck of this city, and was highly esteemed by a large circle of 
acquaintances, who will remember her for her cordiality and genial disposition.

The funeral services for Miss Della Foster were held from the residence of Dr. 
A.E. Luton, 53 Morris Ave., Grand Rapids, at 9 o'clock yesterday, Rev. Mr. 
Sprague, of All Souls church, officiating, and the music being in charge of 
Mrs. Davis. The services were largely attended, and the floral offerings 
beautiful and profuse.

The remains were brought to this city for interment at 11:17, and were 
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Buck and son Foster, of this city: Chas. 
Foster, father of the deceased, of Bowne; O.W. Waterman, Saranac, and Miss 
Cenith Foster, Mrs. C.L. Ives, and Dr. A.E. Luton, of Grand Rapids.

Many Ionia friends joined the funeral party here, and accompanied them to 
Highland Park, where Dr. W.H. Thomas, of St. Johns church, conducted the last 
sad rites.

The bearers were Fred A. Tower, Ed. R. Bailey, Ray B. Miller, O.S. Wood, Ed. V. 
Buck and Fred C. Sibley.
