Life’s Journey Done.

Clayton Foster Died Tuesday Morning.  Excellent Young Man Gone To His Reward.

Clayton Foster whose health has been so poorly for the past year and a half
passed peacefully from this life Tuesday morning at the home of his parents Mr.
and Mrs. Geo. N. Foster.  The deceased was 24 years old and was born in Cannon
township, Kent county, when his parents came here to reside he came with them
and for eight or nine years worked for Belding Bros. & Co. in the winding room
having had charge of the department when he was obliged to give up work on
account of failing health.

Over a year ago he went west to try a change of climate but returned after a few
months with but little benefit, and has continued to grow worse gradually
although at all times of a hopeful disposition.  He was up and around as usual
Monday but a change came for the worse Monday night which was noticeable.

Clayton had many friends in this city, he was a member of Fortuna Lodge No 120
K. of P. who will attend the funeral in a body at the Baptist church this
afternoon.  Rev. H.N. Spear will officiate.

The funeral of the late Clayton Foster which was held in the Baptist church last
Thursday afternoon was very largely attended by many of his associates and
fellow workmen and the Knights of Pythias lodge of which he was a member.  Rev.
Spear preached an excellent sermon and there were many tributes of respect to
the deceased in the large profusion of flowers and floral pieces sent in as
testimonials of esteem.
