FOUNTAIN IONIA-Fay G.Fountain, 62, died Friday at the Ionia Manor after a long illness. He was born on May 20, 1917, in Mecosta County, the son of Ernest and Sarah Fountain. He attended Ionia Schools. Mr.Fountain was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry in WW II. He was a foreman at the Mitchell-Bentley Corp., the forerunner of General Tire. Survivors include four sons, David,Daryle, Steve and Galen, all of Ionia; a brother, Albert of Ionia; a sister, Ethel Cook of Ionia; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were today at 2 pm at the Hull Memorial Chapel with the Revs Roy Pitts of the First Baptist Church and Paul Carmichael of the Lyons Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery in Greenville.
