The Ionia Standard, Friday, March 15, 1918

Mrs. Mary Fowle, 45 years old, died Friday at her home in Detroit.  She was 
the mother of Mrs. Glenn Burkhart of Fowlerville, formerly Miss Florence Fowle 
of this city.  The body was brought here Monday, arriving on the 11:59 train, 
and will be taken directly to Highland Park for burial.

Subsequent Publication:  March 18, 1918

The body of Mrs. Mary Fowle was brought from Detroit Mon. morning, accompanied 
by Mr. and Mrs. John Fowle and children and M. S. Williams, all of Detroit, 
and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Burkhart of Fowlerville.  Rev. Cyrus Mendenhall 
conducted the burial service at Highland Park, where they went immediately 
from the train.  The bearers were Glenn Burkhart, John Fowle, J. I. Williston 
and Mathew Bradley.
