Fowler, of Hubbardston, died at his home near Hubbardston Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Mr. Fowler was born in Lancester, N.Y., in 1855, and came to Michigan when 20 years of age. He was united in marriage February 24, 1876, to Miss Carrie Straight, in a log house, one and one-half miles east of Carson City. After their marriage they moved to Fairberry, Ill., where Mr. Fowler engaged as a painter, later returning to Michigan to take up their residence at Stanton, where he worked for 10 years in a saw mill, which turned out mostly shingles. He had lived for years on the farm which was formerly known as the George Hayes farm, and until his recent illness he had kept up his farm labors. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler had been married 56 years, and the different anniversaries since they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1926 has been the occasion of many a homecoming of the children and grandchildren. Mrs. Fowler survives him. The following children survive: Mrs. Baline Laden, Ionia; Mrs. Florence Stone, Detroit; Mrs. A.B.
