He passed from this life December 23, 1939, after four weeks of serious illness at the age of 29 years, eight months and eight days. In 1930 he was united in marriage to Christena Bassett. Since that time he has resided in and near Lake Odessa. In early manhood he was converted and later united with the United Brethren church. He was an active member and an ardent worker in the church and was always willing to do all things that were pleasing to his Lord and Master Jesus Christ. He was a kind and loving husband and son and a patient sufferer in his hour of affliction. He leaves to mourn his widow, his mother Mrs. Bessie Fox of Freeport, his grandfather Robert Hanford of Freeport, and a host of relatives and friends.
