Word was received in Ionia Sunday announcing the death of Mrs. Jennie Webber- Fox, at her home in Detroit. The remains will be brought to Ionia Tuesday morning, arriving here on the 10:52 grand Trunk train. Funeral Tuesday afternoon from the residence of Mrs. George W. Webber, at 1:30 o’clock. Interment in Highland Park cemetery. Dr. W. K. Spencer , of the Presbyterian church, will officiate. Mrs. Fox was a sister of the late George W. Webber and Andrew J. Webber, Oscar Webber and S. W. Webber of Lyons. She married Chas. T. Fox of Lyons, Michigan, who was an officer in the Ninth Michigan Infantry and was killed in action at Tyree, Kentucky, Sept. 22, 1862. Mr. Fox was a son of the late Dorus M. Fox. Mrs. Fox lived in Ionia most of her life until she went to Virginia, then to Detroit a number of years ago. She was a teacher of music and the piano and a woman cultured and accomplished. She was a member of and organist in the Congregational church of Ionia in the earlier days and was always prominent and favored in Ionia social circles. Her death will be learned with regret by a great many friends in Ionia county, few of whom were aware of her illness.
