Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 Feb 1977

Joseph J. Fox, jr., 53, of 724 Roselawn, died early Wednesday morning at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born September 20, 1923, in 
Ionia, the son of Joseph and Gertrude Heckman Fox, sr.  He married the former 
Betty Heath at SS Peter and Paul church February 7, 1948.  She survives.  A 
veteran of World War II, a member of SS Peter and Paul church and the travel 
trailer club, he was employed by Oldsmobile in Lansing for over 27 years.

Surviving besides his wife are one son, John of Lansing; one daughter, Connie 
L. Heppe of Ionia; five brothers, Robert, Francis and Phillip of Ionia; William 
of Detroit and Gerald of Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Possehn of Lake 
Odessa and Mrs. Elaine Moore of Clarksville; and two grandchildren.  He was 
preceded in death by his father in 1968, a brother in 1969 and his mother in 
1974.

Funeral mass is Saturday at 10 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul church with Father 
Edward Orlowski officiating.  Rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. at 
Myers-Roetman funeral home.  The family will receive friends and relatives at 
the funeral home Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Burial is in 
Sunset Memorial gardens.
