Fox died Wednesday at Portland of tuberculosis of the throat. He had been in poor health for several months. He was 53 years of age and he is the second man identified with the saloon business to die within a week. Mr. Fox was born near Westphalia. Before coming to Portland 15 years ago, he was a resident of St. Johns and prior to that he lived in Pewamo. He has four brothers and a sister and leaves six children: John, Susie, Grace, Fred, Ernest, Edith. Rev. Fr. Brieffert conducted the funeral services Saturday morning at St. Patrick’s church.
