Portland Review, 17 Aug 2008

Anthony J.  Fox, 86, of Portland, passed away on Aug.  12, 2008.  He was born
June 30, 1922 in Portland the son of Anthony and Helena (Martin) Fox.  Tony was
a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.  He is retired
from Portland Products after many years of service.  He enjoyed playing cards,
Bingo, hunting and fishing.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and his
son, Dennis.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lella (Hoppes) Fox;
children Kate Remington of Portland, Carolyn (Robert) Jurstik of Portland, Gary
(Michelle) Fox of Eagle, Ronnie and Tony Fox, both of Portland; daughter-in-law
Brenda Fox; 6 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; brother Bud (Diane) Fox of
Hubbardston; sisters Helen Osborn of DeWitt and Janette Atwell of Charlotte;
several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 14 at St. Patrick Catholic
Church, Portland with Rev. Larry King, presiding.  Right of Committal followed
at North Eagle Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman
Funeral Home, Portland.  For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made
to Heartland Healthcare Center, 814 East Lincoln Ave., Ionia, MI 48846 in memory
of Tony.
