Keith W. Fox Sr., 83, of Hubbardston, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at his 
home.

Keith was born April 1, 1929 in Birmingham, Mich., the son of Steven and Verna 
(VanEpps) Fox. Keith had a landscaping business in his youth, Fox Landscaping 
and Garden. He married Elaine Dome on Feb. 2, 1950.

He enlisted in the Army shortly after World War II and was honorably 
discharged. He retired from  General Tire in Ionia where he worked for 22 
years. He also was a volunteer firefighter for the Hubbardston Fire Department 
for 15 years. Keith loved his family, traveling, cats, gardening and building 
model boats. He especially enjoyed building doll houses for his daughters and 
granddaughters.

He is survived by seven children, Keith (Kathy) Fox Jr. of Portland, Gary 
(Paige) Fox of Southfield, Sandra (Hubert) Martin of Bellville, Robert (Donna) 
Fox of New Orleans, La., Gloria (Tom) Slater of Ionia, Doug (Val) Fox of 
Madison, Wis., and Joseph (Honesty) Fox of Grand Rapids. Keith had 17 
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, 
Dean Fox of Colorado, Margaret Scherer of Blackhawk, Colo., and Barbara (Larry) 
Sharpe of Royal Oak.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; twin sons, Ronald and Donald; 
four brothers, Steve, Roland, Byard, Leonard; and two sisters, Katie and 
Lerleen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at Lux and Schnepp 
Funeral Home, Carson City with Pastor officiating. Interment will be in North 
Plains Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
