Portland Review - Sunday, July 13, 2014

PORTLAND- Marie E. Fox, age 85, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014. She was 
born on December 14, 1928 in Westphalia, the daughter of Edwin and Theresa 
(Miller) Zimmer. Marie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, loved going 
to the lake in the summer, garage sales with her daughters and watching the 
Detroit Tiers and various game shows. She loved her family especially all the 
grandchildren. 

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Elgin Fox, Sr.; daughter, Joyce 
Lenneman; infant children Martha and Christopher, son-in-law, Ronald Meyers. 
Surviving are her children Linda Meyers of Ionia, Bonnie (John) Jenks of 
Charlotte, Jane (Clifford) Sharp, Nancy (Clay) Sharp both of Portland and Elgin 
Fox, Jr. of Ionia; son-in-law, David Lenneman of Portland; 14 grandchildren; 14 
great grandchildren;  many nieces and nephews. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 
2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of 
Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 
and 7-9 p.m., Monday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
