WILLIAM FOX 1930-2016
William Fox, age 86 of Ionia, MI, passed away on Dec. 14, 2016 in Sumner, MI. He was
born in Ionia, MI the son of Joseph and Gertrude (Heckman) Fox. Bill graduated from SS
Peter and Paul, Class of 1948. He served as a Sergeant in the Air force during the Korean
War and was a journalist for the Stars and Stripes while serving.

On July 24, 1954, he married Angela J. Cerney. She passed away in 2015. Bill was a 
member of the Saranac American legion and the Ionia Knights of Columbus. He loved 
NASCAR, going for rides, traveling, trips to Sessions Lake and having coffee with
the crew at McDonald's. Bill especially enjoyed time with his family.

Bill is survived by his children, Jackie Henry of Grand Ledge, Bobbie Fox of Ionia,
Joseph (Carolyn) Fox of Sumner, James (Ann ) Fox of Tennessee; grandchildren, Craig
(Marisa) Henry of Ionia, Kyleen Henry of Ionia, Tyler fox of Ionia, Michael fox of Sumner,
Molly Fox of Sumner, brother, Phil Fox of Ionia; sisters, Katherine Possehn of Lake Odessa,
Elaine Moore of Lake Odessa; sister-in-laws, Mary Pinnow of Ionia, Maxine Fox of Orleans; great-
grandchildren, Cameron Henry, Taylor Henry, Austin Henry, Gavin Elvert; and several
nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parent, his wife, Angela, granddaughter, Alisha
Elvert and five brothers.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19 at the Lake funeral Home
in Ionia with Father Tom Brown officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. those
wishing may make memorial contributions to Relay for Life. Online condolences may be made at
