FORMER WOODLAND MAN DIES IN KALAMAZOO
Funeral services for Harley C.Fox, 70, former Woodland man, were held Wednesday, 
Jan. 5 in Hasting's. Mr. Fox, who was born in Ohio Sept. 20, 1878, moved to 
Michigan when a child with his parents, Mr and Mrs William H.Fox, who took up 
residence near Woodland. Mr.Fox and his brother Greely first operated a 
barbershop in Vermontville and in 1921 moved their shop to Hastings. Mr.Fox 
retired from the barber business in 1939 and from that time on operated a 
magazine subscription business from his home and from 1940 to 42 and 1944 to 46 
was Hasting's City Treasurer.

Mr Fox died at the home of his son in Kalamazoo and is survived in addition to 
his wife and son, by a brother and sister in Hastings and two grandchildren.
