          THE FOX CHILDREN IN NEED OF HOMES

                               ----------

   The five minor children of Clyde Fox living north of town, were in Judge
Webster's court Saturday, on 
complaint of Albert Crosby, uncle of the little ones. The mother of the children
died the fore part of 
December, following the birth of a baby who lived only a few days and since that
time the home has been in 
sad shape.  The father being unable to properly care for his little children.

  the children were made state charges by Judge Webster at the hearing, and from now
on the state will have 
them as wards. An effort is being made to have them placed in Ionia county homes,
without having to send 
them to Coldwater.

   There are many ones in the surrounding country where there are no children and
the taking of one of these 
little ones would be a blessing indeed.
