Fox, 75, of 3711 Stage road died unexpectedly at her home Friday night. Deputy medical examiner, Richard Hull of Muir, ruled death was the result of a heart condition and occurred about 11 p.m. Friday. Born in Madison, Wisc., January 2, 1899, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Adams Heckman. October 3, 1922 he was marred in Pewamo to Joseph Fox and lived all her married life in the Ionia area and at the Stage road address since 1947. Her husband died in 1968 and a son, Richard, and a daughter, Marie Ann, also preceded her in death. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul church. Surviving are six sons, Joseph Jr., Robert, Francis, and Phillip, all of Ionia, William of Detroit and Gerald of Belding, two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Possehn and Mrs. Gertrude Moore of Lake Odessa; 39 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Heckman of Lansing and Frank Heckman of Pewamo; sister, Mrs. Mary Schneider of Portland. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery. The family will be at the Myers-Roetman funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer society.
