The Ionia County News, Thursday, January 23, 1941
Joseph Fox, 80, died at ten o’clock Tuesday morning, January 21, at his home 
on Railroad street.  Mr. Fox was born in Clinton county August 23, 1860.  He 
came to Ionia about two years ago from near Hubbardston where he had spent 
most of his life.  

Besides his widow he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Konen of Lansing; 
Mrs. Mary Peabody of Ionia, and Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards of Hubbardston; six 
sons, Joseph of Ionia; Andrew of Pewamo; Herman, Theodore and Matthew, of 
Lansing; William of Detroit.

Funeral will be from SS Peter and Paul church at nine o’clock Friday morning  
Father John S. Fons will sing the Requiem Mass and burial will be in Pewamo 
Catholic cemetery.
