Barbara Ann Fox, age 76 of Ionia, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015.  Barbara
was born in Lyons on Aug. 21, 1939, to Arnold and Margaret (Huhn) Fox.  She
graduated from Lyons High School and lived in the home she was born in, in Lyons
until 1989.  She suffered a debilitating illness in 1989 and lived in Ionia for
the remainder of her life.  Prior to her illness she worked at Newell
Manufacturing Co. in Lowell and before that at Chrysler Corp. in Lyons.  She
enjoyed bowling, golfing, and tending to her house and yard prior to her
illness. Barbara was a kind, friendly person and stoic.  She never complained
about the hand that life dealt her.

Barbara is survived by her brothers, Charles Fox of Ionia, Philip (Carol) Fox of
Ionia, and George (Diane) of Lansing; sisters, Helen Cook of Portland, Lucille
Schafer of Muir and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her
parents; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fox; brother-in-law’s, Robert Cook and Kenneth
Schafer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church
on Saturday, Dec. 19, 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Boufford celebrant.  Visitation
will be held one hour prior to service at the church.  Rite of Committal at St.
Joseph Cemetery in Pewamo.  Her family wishes to thank Sandy and David Fennel
and staff of Bellview AFC for the passionate and professional care they provided
to Barbara for the six years prior to her passing.  Those wishing may make
contributions to the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church Capital Campaign.
