Fox, died at Muir, on the 14th inst., in the seventy-fifth year of her age. The funeral was held the following Monday afternoon, services being conducted at the house by Rev. George Ransom. Interment was made in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Fox was a native of Herkimer county, N.Y., but moved to Muir with her family 32 years ago. Singularly, her death occurred on the 57th anniversary of her marriage. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, an exemplary mother, a friend to rich and poor, and in all respects a grand type of noble womanhood. She is sadly missed in the home in particular and by the community in general. Besides her aged husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Christina Smith, whose home is at Brainerd, Minn., and who was a constant attendant upon her mother in the last six months of her sickness, and Mrs. J. E. Just, of Ionia. Mr. Fox will make his home with Mrs. Smith at Brainerd, to which place they expect to go as soon as circumstances will permit. He has been a familiar figure here so long that he will be greatly missed by his friends.
