Fox, 40, of rural Lake Odessa, died late Sunday in Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids following a lengthy illness. He has been a patient since July 4. Born in Ionia, November 14, 1931, he was a son of Henry and Olive Scheider Fox, and made his home in Lake Odessa the past five years where he was active in promotion and production of stage shows. Surviving are his wife the former Natalie Lewis; five daughters, Mrs. Lynn Cudney and Janet Lynn Fox, Grand Ledge; Jo Ann, Karen Sue and Robin Lynn, all at home; three sons, James and Howard of Grand Ledge, and Jeffery of Lake Odessa; three sisters, Mrs. Merritt Stilwell of Roscommon, Mrs. Elwood Larson, Mrs. Ronald Johnson and a brother, Julius of Ionia, and one granddaughter. Also among the survivors is his mother, Mrs. Olive Fox of Ionia. The body is at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa where prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. July 26. Services will be at the funeral chapel at 1:30 p.m. July 27, Fr. Dennis Stillwell of West Branch officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
