He had been a patient there since Wednesday after he suffered a heart attack while at work at his business in Portland. Born February 21, 1898 in Gardner, Ill., he was a son of Joseph and Alice (Craig) Francis. He was married April 18, 1945 to Mrs. Edna Grant and he had owned and operated the All-In-One Feeds, Inc., in Portland for a number of years. Mr. Francis was a member of Cedar Lodge F&AM No. 124, Morris, Ill.; also a member of the Consistory Power Squadron of Grand Rapids and attended Christian Science church in Lansing. Surviving are his wife, Edna; a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Helen) Gensterblum of Lansing; one grandson; three step-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer L. of Portland, and Claude of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Maude Campbell of Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Myers funeral home. ---- Funeral service for Robert J. Francis of Lyons was held at the Myers funeral home Monday at 3:30 p.m. Mr. Francis died at Osteopathic hospital in Grand Rapids Friday morning. Bert Fox and Glenn Piper of Ionia Masonic lodge F&AM No. 36 were in charge of the service. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. Bearers were employees of the Feed Mill in Portland, Elgin Fox, Arthur Bandfield, Louis Gross, Ervin Leik, Gilbert Vroman and Ray Trierweiler. Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Gensterblum and Jack Nixon of Lansing, C. C. Francis, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Francis and C. F.
