Francis Friday were a number of telephone men, mostly from Grand Rapids and Lansing, who had been his intimate associates during his long service with the Citizens Co. They were Auditor M. C. Morey, Roy F. Mapes, Frank E. Heath, H. N. Collins, C. E, Smith. Grand Rapids; R. I, Briggs, A. W. Peterson, Lee Fitzpatrick J. Welsher, C. E. Teachout, L. C. Ealy, F. S. Parke, Lansing; F. E. Howard, Lake Odessa; D. J. Campau, Ionia; Ray P. Scofield, Greenville. Miss Jennie B. Presley of the Belding exchange was also in attendance. Bearers were chosen from the telephone employees. They were Messrs. Campau, Hale, Howard, Briggs, Scofield and Ealy. The Woodmen drill team attended services at the house. Mrs. Francis carried insurance in both Woodmen and Maccabee orders. He was also a member of Greenville K. of P. lodge. Others who came from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sterling, Chicago; Mrs. Frank Obetts, Greenville, Mrs. Alice Doremus, H. F. Caswell, Lansing; Mrs. Ray Scofield, Greenville. Rev. Truman F. Galt of the Congregational church conducted the funeral service.
