Mrs. Sylvanus Franks Died At Sunfield

The death of Mrs. Sylvanus Franks, well-known and highly respected Portland
resident and Sebewa pioneer, passed away Monday at the home of her son, Marion
Franks, in Sunfield.  The remains were brought to Portland and funeral services
held at the M.E. church, in charge of Rev. Bancroft, Wednesday afternoon. 
Burial was made in Portland Cemetery.

Mrs. Franks had spent practically her entire lifetime in this community.  A
little over two years ago, she, with her husband, who passed away several months
later, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
