Her maiden name was Mary Alice Meyers and she was born in Woodland, Mich., in 1850. Her marriage to Truman H. Barber took place at Saranac and his death was at Lake Odessa in 1909. Eight years ago deceased married Ezra Franks at Lake Odessa and they came to Portland to live. The surviving children by the first marriage are Earl Barber, N.D.; Miss Amy Barber, bookkeeper at McClelland’s, and Mrs. Sara Proudfoot of Grand Rapids. All of the children were here at the time of their mother’s death.
