The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 24, 1959
Word was received in Ionia over the weekend of the death of Bernice Franks at 
the Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.  She has been in ill health the past 
two years and a resident of Tucson 15 years.  She died at 11:50 Saturday 
night.  She was born October 14, 1898 in Eaton County the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. L. B. Fuller.  In 1920 she was married to Walter Franks who was killed in 
a railroad accident in 1945.  Soon after his death she moved to Arizona where 
they had planned to go following his retirement.  She is survived by her 
father, Brook Fuller, and two brothers, Leo and LeRoy of Ionia.  Funeral 
services and burial will be in Tucson, Arizona.
