Lake Odessa Wave-Times February 14, 1919

JOHN L. FRANZ DIED AT AGE OF 91 YEARS

John Franz, an old resident of Odessa, died at the home of his daughter and 
grand daughter, Mrs Anway and Mrs Cummins, on 5th Avenue, early Monday morning.

Mr. Franz had been in feeble health for a long time. When able to get out and 
around the country he was often a caller at the Wave office and he was greatly 
missed when his visits were ceased by feebleness.

The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Mourer preaching and 
Mrs Bert Mourer sang. He was buried at Lakeside.
