The Grand Ledge Independent, Friday, April 25, 1902

Last Wednesday morning our neighborhood was shocked to hear of the death of 
Geo. Frayer, he having been sick but a couple of days with inflammation of the 
stomach.  He was born in Michigan, October 28, 1902.  He leaves a wife, three 
children, a widowed mother, two brothers and a sister to mourn his early 
departure.  Deceased was a kind husband, son and neighbor, ever willing to 
lend a helping hand to one in need.  Not only will he be missed by his family 
but by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at Compton church.  Burial in Danby cemetery.  An 
able sermon was delivered by Rev. Taylor of Mulliken.
