                              KAY L. FRECHEN

HUBBARDSTON-Kay Louise Frechen, age 84 of Hubbardston passed away Thursday, 
December 22, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, She was born in Clinton 
County on May 25, 1938, to Dr. Larry B. and Dorothea (Strechan) Kemp.She married 
Richard Frechen on December 30, 1959. Kay worked for over 20 years at Cooley Law 
School in Lansing, Michigan before her retirement.She was a member of the 
Hubbardston American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, camping and ehr 
beloved dogs. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Kay is survived by two sons, Douglas Frechen of Hubbardston, Kirk (Kristi) 
Frechen  of Champion; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, 
Richard Kemp and her beloved canine companion, Willie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, numerous brothers 
and sisters in-law. Funereal services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, 
at 11 a.m at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City. Visitation will be 
held on Monday from 10 am until he time of services at the funeral home. 

Those desiring may made memorial contributions to the Hubbardston American 
Legion Auxiliary.
