Ionia County News, 18 Jun 1931

South Boston – Several relatives, old neighbors and friends from here attended
the funeral services for Mr. Perry C. Freeman Sunday afternoon at the Lowell
Methodist church, Rev. Cartland, pastor, had the service.  Rev. Will Minty of
Grand Rapids, son-in-law of Mr. Freeman paid tribute to the life of Mr. Freeman
in eulogy which he read.

Mr. and Mrs. Freeman were residents of South Boston for many years, always
taking an active part in the social life of the community, being members of the
church and grange.  They retired from farm life a number of years ago, moving to
Lowell where they made many new friends.  Mr. Freeman was buried in the Boston
cemetery.
