Death of Mrs. Lucetta M. Freeman. Mrs. Lucetta M. Freeman died at her home in this city yesterday morning at 5 o’clock. She had been in declining health for three or four years, but had been seriously sick only two or three months, and confined to the bed only three days. Her husband, Cassick J. Freeman, died about eight years ago. Deceased was born in Alexander, Genesee county, N.Y., March 4, 1826, where she was married in 1845. A year later she and her husband moved west, locating in Orleans in this county, where they lived several years. They changed their location several times, going back to New York state in 1855 for three years, when they returned to Ionia county. For a considerable portion of the time their home was in this city, where she has resided during the eight years since her husband’s death. For a short time they lived in Grand Rapids. Deceased leaves six children: Perry, of Boston township; Alonzo, of this city; Wallace, of Grand Rapids; William, of Chicago; Effie, wife of Cass Worden, who has been with her mother for several weeks; and Nettie, widow of J.F. Whitmyer, of Ionia township. Mr. C. O. Thompson is a brother of deceased, and she also leaves two sisters, whose homes are in California. Funeral services will be at family residence on West Main street at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
