Freeman Well Known Here Dies At Age 78. John Perry Freeman, 78 well known in this area, died Sunday in Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Roth Funeral Home in Lowell and burial was made in South Boston cemetery. Mr. Freeman was born on the home farm in South Boston and was a master farmer, 4-H leader for a quarter of a century, and member of South Boston Grange, Masonic Lodge in Lowell and Lowell Rotary club. He held various offices in Boston township before moving to Lowell and was active in many civic affairs. He is survived by his wife, Maude, four daughter, Mrs. Barnard Kropf of Lowell, Mrs. Clark Anderson of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Mrs. Maxine Frye of Carson City, and Mrs. Bette Colberg of Toms River, N.J.; a brother, Vern of Lansing, and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Kyser of Lowell and Mrs. Belle Collar of Grand Rapids.
