Freeman’s Demise Following but a Few Weeks After That of His Business Associate, Owen Newton. A.O. Freeman, well-known real estate man, died at the family home on East Main street at 5:30 this morning, after being critically ill for the past eight weeks. He had been in poor health for several years. Mr. Freeman was a pioneer resident of the county, having been born in Orleans township and had lived in the county all his life with the exception of a few years. He conducted a real estate business in the city for about eight years. About three years ago the late Owen Newton joined with Mr. Freeman and the firm was known as Freeman & Newton. A few months ago George B. Fleming also joined the firm and it has snice been known as Freeman, Newton & Fleming. Mr. Newton and Mr. Freeman had been close friends for many years and were separated in death by only a few weeks. Besides his widow Mr. Freeman is survived by three children, Mrs. G.M. Phelps and Mrs. Jesse Smith, of Ionia, and Glenn Freeman, of Lansing, and two brothers, Perry Freeman, of Lowell, and Will Freeman, of San Francisco, Cal. The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Smith, East Main street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will take place at Highland Park.
