Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Aug 1951

Mrs. Mary L. Freer, 82, of Saranac died Saturday, Aug. 4, in Orangeville 
township, after being ill only 1 ½ hours.  She had been vacationing at Gun lake 
when she was stricken with a heart attack.

Mrs. Freer had been a resident of Saranac and vicinity for 26 years.  She was 
born Jan. 4, 1869, in Grand Rapids.  At the time of her death she was a member 
of the Saranac Community church and the Day Fellowship.

She leaves her husband, Clarence; one step-daughter, Mrs. Clarence Colwell, of 
Ionia; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Morris funeral home.  
Interment will be in Saranac cemetery.
