FINAL RITES FOR ERNEST M. FRENCH
   Ernest M. French, 61, passed away suddenly at his home Monday afternoon.
   He was born in Battle Creek Sept. 25, 1909, son of William and Fannie (Wheeler)
French, and married Clara 
E. Ruth of Port Austin Nov. 3, 1928, and they resided at Battle Creek before moving
to Lake Odessa about 10 
years ago.  He owned and operated an electrical motor repair shop and was previously
employed at Charlotte.
   Surviving are his wife, Clara E; two sons, William E. of Lake Odessa and Donald
D. of Battle Creek; a 
daughter, Mrs. Charles (Rita) Joseph of Potterville; eight grandchildren four step
grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. 
Rhea Harris of Olivet, and a brother, Delmer French of Zephyrsville, Fla.
   Funera lservics were held at 1:30 Thursday at the Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev.
Gary Lyons officiated, with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
