The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, October 1, 1974


Mrs. Margaret M. Fretter, 79, of Grant route 1, a former Ionian, died Saturday 
morning at Meadows Nursing Home in Fremont after a lingering illness.  Mrs. 
Fretter, a former Newaygo resident, was a resident of Ionia before moving to 
Newaygo 46 years ago.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David Taylor of Mesick, a son John of Grawn; 
five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, David Craft and 
Ernest Craft, both of Ionia and two sisters, Mrs. Sid Hall and Mrs. Mildred 
Gross, both of Hastings.

Funeral services were Monday in Newaygo with Pastor George Taylor officiating 
at the McKinley Funeral home at Newaygo.  Interment was at Newaygo cemetery.
