Anita D. Freund, 54, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1994 in Carson City.  She was 
born in Detroit on Oct. 28, 1939, the daughter of Anton and Addie Belle 
(Smith) Schwedhelm.  She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She 
was also a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband Roger; two daughters, Vickey Freund of Grand 
Rapids, and Tammy (Gerald) Meyers of Westphalia; two grandchildren, Ashley 
Meyers and Brooke Meyers, both at home; her parents; one brother, Fred 
Schwedhelm, of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Diana Schwedhelm.  She was preceded 
in death by an infant son Joseph.

Friends may call at St. Mary’s Chapel in Westphalia, Wednesday from 7 to 9 
p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. where the family will receive 
friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church, in Pewamo.  The Rev. Fr. Charlon O. Mason will officiate.  
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Pewamo.  The Rosary will be 
prayed Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Thursday at 3 p.m.  A scripture-wake service 
will be Thursday at 8 p.m.  The family is being served by Gorsline-Runciman 
Co., Neller Chapel, in Portland.
