Oct. 16, 1935 Oliver Friedly Missed when he failed to return from a corn field on the Zala Howe farm north of Ionia where he had been working all afternoon, Oliver Friedly, 75, Ionia, was found dead there late Tuesday afternoon. He was discovered in the field by William Martin, a son-in-law. Deputy William Gemuend and Coroner Harry Myers were summoned and stated Mr. Friedly had been dead at least two hours when found. Coroner Myers attributed death to a heart attack. He said there would be no need for an inquest. Mr. Friedly, who is a brother of Ben Friedly, court house custodian, will be buried at funeral services that will be held Thursday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock from the Boynton chapel here. The survivors are; two daughter, Mrs. William Martin, Ionia; Mrs. Elsie Harmal, of near Sunfield; two sons, Ezra, Ionia; Leon, of Sheridan, and four brothers, Benjamin, Ionia; Henry Belding, and Milton and Cornelius, of Boyne City. There are also five grandchildren.
