Ionia Weekly Standard - Friday, Jan. 10, 1913

Anthony Friedman, who lives about half a mile south of Saranac, was felling a 
tree on Saturday afternoon, for fire wood and before he could get out from 
under was caught, and died from the injuries shortly after the accident. 
Deceased was an uncle of Mrs. Chester Willard and Mrs. Dr. Hunt of this city, 
and was a long-time resident of Boston township.
