Jesse Friend Died Saturday of Tuberculosis.

Jesse Friend, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Friend, died at their home in Portland 
early Saturday evening.  He was 35 years old last November.  He was born in 
Sebewa, where the remains will be buried next spring, the body to be placed in 
the vault at Portland cemetery, temporarily, following the funeral, which is to 
be held at the house Tuesday afternoon.  He is survived by his wife, but there 
are no children.  He worked at the barber trade in recent years, but had been 
ill with tuberculosis a number of months and unable to do anything.  His 
brother Fred Friend, is also seriously ill at the home of his parents.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was 
buried in East Sebewa cemetery.]
