JAMES FRIEND OLD RESIDENT OF CARLTON PASSES

Last Sunday, James Friend, who has been feeble for a long time, passed away at 
his home June 10. Mr. Friend was nearly ninety years old and known all through 
this vicinity.

He was the father of Mrs. Emily Wickham, Mrs. Grace Colwell of Sebewa, Mrs. J. 
Darby, Mrs. W. Butolph and John, Ed. and Frank Friend. Mrs. Rhoda Griffin of 
this village is a sister-in-law.

The funeral was held at the home Tuesday, June 12, and burial in Carlton 
cemetery.
