The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 3, 1976
Mrs. Beth V. Friend, 74, of 13222 Bell road, Lake Odessa, died Saturday at the 
Gerber hospital at Fremont.  She was born at Sand Lake in 1901 and moved to 
Clarksville in 1942 where she lived most of her remaining life.

Surviving are the husband, Russell K.; daughter Mrs. Raymond Smith of Fremont; 
son, Russell J., of Grand Rapids, three grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Troost and Mrs. Lucille Crandell of 
Grand Rapids.

Survives will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel at 
Clarksville.  Interment will be at the Clarksville cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Monday, January 5, 1976

Services for Mrs. Beth V. Friend, who died Saturday, were conducted Monday in 
Clarksville.  Interment was at Clarksville cemetery.  Bearers were James 
friend, Steve and Greg Smith, Neil Braendle, Dana Kauffman and Ammon Miller.
